Its precision design incorporates the optimal number of ball bearings to minimize friction, while weight reduction is achieved with fiber-reinforced composites in the block head, cleat arms, and beckets. These blocks are the lightest in the world for their working load, thanks to the elimination of heavy steel components, replaced by high-tech polymers and fiber equivalents. The multi-sheave blocks feature single intermediate cheeks and an ultra-light head arrangement, avoiding the unnecessary weight and bulk found in other brands. The Ronstan 2-stage bearing system, with high compression grade Acetal ball bearings and a secondary full-contact bearing, ensures minimal friction across the full working load range.
