The Series 40 Ball Bearing Orbit Block™ is designed to be lightweight and efficient. Its unique orbital design ensures that the bearings are only present in the active areas of the floating sheave, minimizing mass and bulk. The block features a through-sheave becket arrangement, reducing weight further. Multi-sheave blocks have a single intermediate cheek and a lightweight head arrangement, offering a 30% weight saving compared to competitors.

The block boasts the highest working load in its class, thanks to the orbital ball-bearing system that maximizes load performance. The Ronstan 2-stage bearing system includes high compression acetal ball bearings and a secondary full-contact bearing, ensuring minimal friction across the working load range. The floating sheave and bearing system are supported by a fiber-reinforced load frame, optimized through computer modeling.

The Dyneema® link eliminates the need for heavy steel components, enhancing performance. Features include ultra-lightweight construction, a low friction 2-stage orbital ball bearing system, and high-performance cleating with a composite C-Cleat™ and fairlead. It can be converted to a becket version with a Dyneema® link. Suitable for mainsheet systems and spinnaker sheets on dinghies up to 5m (16ft).
