The Ronstan Series 55 Orbit Block™ Ratchet offers both automatic and manual engagement modes, providing flexibility for various sailing needs. In automatic mode, the ratchet engages when load is applied and disengages when released, allowing for smooth and rapid easing of sheets, ideal for gybing asymmetric spinnakers. Manual mode allows the ratchet to be switched on or off as needed, a preferred setup for many top sailors.

Ronstan Ratchet Orbit Blocks™ boast the highest holding power available, with a sophisticated CNC-machined sheave featuring Generation 2 of the patented sheave cross-hole geometry. This design offers up to 20:1 holding power, nearly double that of competitors, with 12 gripping faces that resist loaded line movement and minimize rope wear.

Features include high performance cleating, a swivel shackle head for unlimited rotation, and compatibility with sharp fixing points. The block is suitable for mainsheet systems and spinnaker sheets on dinghies, sportsboats, and small keel boats up to 8m (26ft), as well as halyard, vang, and backstay applications.
