The Ronstan Series 30 Ball Bearing Orbit Block™ offers the highest strength-to-weight ratio available. This is achieved through the use of all-composite reinforced polymer materials and multiple attachment options. The precision design ensures the optimal number of ball bearings for minimal friction, while weight reduction is accomplished with fibre-reinforced composites in the block head, cleat arms, and beckets. The lightweight design makes these blocks the world's lightest for their working load. By engineering out heavy steel components, Ronstan has replaced virtually all metal parts with high-tech polymers and fibre equivalents, reducing weight and bulk. The ball bearing single and becket block features a through-sheave becket arrangement, resulting in the lowest possible weight. Multi-sheave blocks have single intermediate cheeks and an ultra-light, efficient head arrangement.

The Ronstan 2-stage bearing system, featuring high compression grade Acetal ball bearings and a secondary full-contact bearing, ensures minimal friction across the full working load range. This block is ideal for mainsheet systems and spinnaker sheets on dinghies up to 5m (16ft), as well as halyard, vang, and backstay applications on boats up to 5m (16ft). It is also suitable for control line applications on larger yachts.

Features include high-performance cleating, lightweight construction, the highest working load in its class, secure and versatile attachment, an ultra-low profile thru-sheave becket, and a low friction 2-stage ball bearing system. SP versions feature a Nylatron® sheave suitable for both rope and wire.
