Lead blocks provide a low profile solution for guiding halyards or other rig sail controls back to cleats or jammers. When mounted in an inverted position, they are often used as upright leads. The external tabs can be shaped to fit the spar profile before fastening. Typically used in dinghy spars for control lines such as outhauls.
