Description

The Ball Bearing Orbit Blocks™ offer the highest strength-to-weight ratio available, achieved through composite reinforced polymer materials and multiple attachment options. The precision design ensures an optimal number of ball bearings for minimal friction, while weight reduction is achieved with fibre-reinforced composites in the block head, cleat arms, and beckets.

These blocks are the world's lightest for their working load, as heavy steel components have been replaced with high-tech polymers and fibre equivalents. The ball bearing single and becket block features a through-sheave becket arrangement, resulting in the lowest possible weight. Multi-sheave blocks have single intermediate cheeks and an ultra-light head arrangement.

The Ronstan 2-stage bearing system, featuring high compression grade Acetal ball bearings and a secondary full-contact bearing, ensures low friction and consistent performance across the full working load range. Suitable for mainsheet systems and spinnaker sheets on dinghies up to 5m, as well as halyard, vang, and backstay applications on boats up to 5m. Also used for control line applications on larger yachts and primary lead blocks on dinghies and catamarans.
