The Series 40 Ball Bearing Orbit Blocks™ offer an optimal blend of strength, performance, and reliability. Designed with class-leading dynamic and static load ratings, these blocks are the strongest available in their size category. The toughened glass fibre reinforced nylon cheeks provide a lightweight yet robust alternative to traditional stainless steel straps.

The range includes single and double sheave lashing or soft attachment options, extending to multiple sheave blocks, suitable for systems up to a 12:1 purchase mainsheet system for off-the-beach performance catamarans. Each block is equipped with a carbon reinforced C-Cleat™ for secure rope holding and adjustable stainless steel cleat arms for preferred cleating angles.

The ball bearing versions feature a 2-stage bearing system, minimizing friction with ball bearings and maintaining low friction with a secondary full-contact bearing. High Load versions are tailored for applications with high dynamic or static loads, featuring a high strength grade 2205 stainless steel sheave and hub.

Applications include mainsheet systems and spinnaker sheets on dinghies, off-the-beach catamarans, and sportsboats up to 8m (26ft), as well as halyard, vang, and backstay applications on boats up to 9m (30ft), and control line applications on larger yachts.
