Description

The Ronstan Series 55 Orbit Block™ with ratchet and link head offers flexibility with both automatic and manual engagement modes. In automatic mode, the ratchet engages when load is applied and disengages when released, allowing for smooth and rapid easing of sheets, ideal for gybing asymmetric spinnakers. In manual mode, the ratchet can be switched on or off as needed, a setup preferred by many top sailors. This block provides unmatched holding power, featuring a sophisticated NC-machined sheave with Generation 2 patented cross-hole geometry, offering up to 20:1 holding power. The unique design includes 12 gripping faces to resist line movement effectively, minimizing rope wear. The Dyneema® Link ensures a simple and secure attachment.

Applications include dinghy mainsheet systems, mainsheet systems on sportsboats using RF6 or RF7 mainsheet swivel cleat units, spinnaker sheets on dinghies and sportsboats, and control line applications on larger yachts.
