Description

Braided anchor line made of polyester with stainless steel thimble. The polyester line is ideal as an anchor line because it sinks, is wear-resistant, and has sufficient stretch to absorb the forces from waves during anchoring.

• The required length of the anchor line is determined by the water depth and the prevailing wind strength. As a rule of thumb, approximately 5 times the water depth is used as the length for the anchor line. In light winds, less line can often be used, while in severe weather (wind force 5 and above), the length can increase to 7 times the water depth. The diameter of the line is determined by the boat's length and weight.
