Description

The patented system utilizes low profile cars running on twin races of Torlon® ball bearings. These cars fit into the existing luff groove of the mast, eliminating the need for additional tracks or installation work. The ball bearings are captive, allowing for easy loading and unloading of cars from the mast. They can be easily switched between fully battened and 'soft luff' mainsails. The minimal distance from mast to mainsail luff enhances mainsail efficiency. With a complete range of car profiles and feet, there is a Ballslide™ solution for most mast profiles and luff groove shapes on boats up to 18m (60ft).

Bushes can be permanently sewn into webbing loops on the mainsail luff.

Features include captive ball bearings, low profile, lightweight alloy car bodies, and a quick-release pin. Suitable for narrow feet, this product is designed for monohulls up to 18m (60ft) or sail area 60m² (646ft²), and multihulls up to 13m (43ft) or sail area 48m² (517ft²).
