Description

The patented system features low profile cars running on twin races of Torlon® ball bearings. These cars utilize the existing luff groove of the mast, eliminating the need for additional tracks or installation work. The captive ball bearings allow for easy loading and unloading of cars from the mast. They can be easily switched between fully battened and 'soft luff' mainsails. The minimal distance from the mast to the mainsail luff enhances mainsail efficiency. With a complete range of car profiles and feet, there is a Ballslide™ solution for most available mast profiles and luff groove shapes on boats up to 18m (60ft).

Features include captive ball bearings, a low profile, and lightweight alloy car bodies. Suitable for narrow feet, it is designed for monohulls up to 18m (60ft) or sail areas of 60m² (646ft²), and multihulls up to 13m (43ft) or sail areas of 48m² (517ft²).
