Description

The patented Ballslide™ system features low profile cars running on twin races of Torlon® ball bearings. These cars utilize the existing luff groove of the mast, eliminating the need for additional tracks or installation work. The ball bearings are captive, allowing for easy loading and unloading of cars from the mast. They can be seamlessly switched between fully battened and 'soft luff' mainsails. The minimal distance from the mast to the mainsail luff enhances mainsail efficiency. With a comprehensive range of car profiles and feet, there is a Ballslide™ solution for most mast profiles and luff groove shapes on boats up to 18m (60ft).

The quick-release batten receptacle cars enable swift and easy removal of the mainsail for changeover, repair, or stowage. Stainless steel ball joint links provide movement in all directions and up to 112 degrees either side of center.

Features include captive ball bearings, a low profile, and lightweight alloy car bodies. Suitable for narrow feet, the system is designed for monohulls up to 18m (60ft) or sail areas of 60m² (646ft²), and multihulls up to 13m (43ft) or sail areas of 48m² (517ft²).
