Description

The Ball Bearing Orbit Blocks™ offer the highest strength-to-weight ratio available, achieved through composite reinforced polymer materials and multiple attachment options. Their precision design ensures optimal ball bearing placement for minimal friction, while weight reduction is achieved with fibre-reinforced composites in the block head, cleat arms, and beckets.

These blocks are the lightest in the world for their working load, as heavy steel components have been replaced with high-tech polymers and fibre equivalents. The Ronstan 2-stage bearing system, featuring high compression grade acetal ball bearings and a secondary full-contact bearing, minimizes friction across the full working load range. A fibre-reinforced load frame supports the sheave and bearing system, optimized using advanced stress analysis methods.

The single lashing block's two-way head allows for alignment at 0° or 90° orientation, providing a low profile and compact design. The block features a lightweight construction, the highest working load in its class, secure and versatile attachment, an ultra-low profile thru-sheave becket, and a low friction 2-stage ball bearing system for consistent performance. SP versions include a Nylatron® sheave suitable for both rope and wire, and it accepts the RF1850S shackle in both orientations to create a conventional loop top block.
