Description

The Ronstan Series 30 Ball Bearing Orbit Block™ offers the highest strength-to-weight ratio available. This is achieved through the use of all-composite reinforced polymer materials and multiple attachment options. Its precision design ensures the optimum number of ball bearings for minimal friction, while weight reduction is achieved with fibre-reinforced composites in the block head, cleat arms, and beckets.

The BB Orbit Blocks™ are the world’s lightest in terms of working load. By eliminating heavy steel components and replacing them with high-tech polymers and fibre equivalents, Ronstan has minimized weight and bulk across different block configurations. The ball bearing single and becket block features a through-sheave becket arrangement, resulting in the lowest possible weight. Multi-sheave blocks have single intermediate cheeks and an ultra-light, efficient head arrangement.

The Ronstan 2-stage bearing system, featuring high compression grade acetal ball bearings and a secondary full-contact bearing, ensures low friction and consistent performance across the full working load range.

Applications include mainsheet systems and spinnaker sheets on dinghies up to 5m (16ft), as well as halyard, vang, and backstay applications on boats up to 5m (16ft). It is also suitable for control line applications on larger yachts.
