Description

The Ronstan Series 30 Ball Bearing Orbit Block™ offers the highest strength-to-weight ratio available. This is achieved using all-composite reinforced polymer materials and multiple attachment options. The precision design ensures the optimum number of ball bearings for minimal friction, while weight reduction is achieved through fibre-reinforced composites in the block head, cleat arms, and beckets. By eliminating heavy steel components, the block is engineered to be the world's lightest for its working load. The multi-sheave blocks feature single intermediate cheeks and an ultra-light head arrangement, minimizing weight and bulk. The Ronstan 2-stage bearing system, with high compression grade Acetal ball bearings and a secondary full-contact bearing, ensures low friction across the full working load range.

Applications include mainsheet systems and spinnaker sheets on dinghies up to 5m (16ft), as well as halyard, vang, and backstay applications on boats up to 5m (16ft). It is also suitable for control line applications on larger yachts.
