Description

The Ronstan Series 40 Ball Bearing Orbit Block™ with Auto Ratchet offers an automatic ratchet mechanism that engages under load and disengages when released. This feature allows for smooth and free sheet run-out, ideal for rapid easing and gybing asymmetric spinnakers.

Ronstan Ratchet Orbit Blocks™ provide exceptional holding power, with the Series 40 delivering up to 14:1 holding power, nearly double that of the nearest competitor. The unique sheave design features eight gripping faces that directly resist line movement, minimizing rope wear and distributing load effectively.

The block includes a low profile stand-up kit with a rubber boot for 0° or 90° alignment, allowing full articulation. It also features a swivel shackle head for unlimited rotation and is compatible with sharp fixing points.

Applications include dinghy mainsheet systems, fine-tune mainsheet systems on sportsboats and small keel boats, mainsheet systems using RF7 mainsheet swivel cleat unit, spinnaker and jib sheets on dinghies, especially modern asymmetric classes, and control line applications on larger yachts.
