Description

The Ronstan Ratchet Orbit Block™ offers exceptional holding power, with the Series 40 delivering up to 14:1 holding power, nearly double that of the nearest competitor. The NC-machined sheave features Generation 2 of Ronstan's patented cross-hole geometry, providing eight gripping faces that resist loaded line movement effectively. This design minimizes rope wear by drawing the rope into the gripping area under load.

The block ensures smooth easing of sheets, with automatic models allowing the sheet to run out smoothly when the ratchet mechanism disengages. The sheave's cross-hole geometry eliminates the 'shuddering' ease-out found in traditional v-groove ratchet blocks.

Features include clockwise rotation, fully automatic load sensing ratchet engagement, and a recessed underside for curved mounting surfaces. It is ideal for dinghy mainsheet systems, mainsheet fine-tune systems on sportsboats and small keel boats, and control line applications on larger yachts.
