Description

The Ronstan Series 55 Orbit Block™ with Fiddle Link Head is designed for lightweight performance. Its unique orbital design ensures that the bearing is only present in the active areas of the floating sheave, reducing mass in inactive parts. This block is among the lightest in its class, with a through-sheave becket arrangement for minimal weight. The multi-sheave blocks feature single intermediate cheeks and an ultra-light head arrangement, offering a 30% weight saving over competitors. The orbital ball-bearing system maximizes load performance with a large bearing race diameter and a 2-stage bearing system using high compression acetal ball bearings and a full-contact secondary bearing. The block is supported by a fiber-reinforced load frame and features a Dyneema® Link made from Robline SK75 fiber, which is significantly stronger and lighter than steel.

Ideal for mainsheet systems on dinghies, sportsboats, and small keelboats up to 9m (30ft), as well as halyard, vang, and backstay applications on boats up to 8m (26ft). It is also suitable for control line applications on larger yachts.
