Description

The Ronstan Series 55 Orbit Block™ is designed to be lightweight and efficient. Its unique orbital design ensures that the bearing is only present in the active areas of the floating sheave, minimizing the mass of inactive components. This block configuration reduces weight and bulk, offering a 30% weight saving advantage over competitors. The block features a two-stage bearing system with high compression grade acetal ball bearings and a secondary full-contact bearing for minimal friction across the working load range. The floating sheave and bearing system are supported by a fiber-reinforced load frame. The Dyneema® Link, made from Robline SK75 fiber, provides a strong and lightweight connection from the block.

Ideal for mainsheet systems on dinghies, sportsboats, and small keelboats up to 9m (30ft), as well as halyard, vang, and backstay applications on boats up to 8m (26ft). It is also suitable for control line applications on larger yachts.
