Description

The Ronstan Series 60 Core Block™ is a versatile solution for various sailing applications. It features a tuned 2-stage bearing system that ensures excellent performance across the full working load range. The integrated thrust bearing and durable construction allow it to handle both high dynamic and static loads. The block is equipped with an Acetal sheave, alloy cheeks, and stainless steel fixings, making it reliable and long-lasting for sheets, halyards, and control line applications in both cruising and racing scenarios.

The Ronstan Universal Bearing incorporates a proven 2-stage bearing system. Under moderate loads, Acetal ball bearings minimize friction. Under heavy loads, a sliding Acetal bearing on a polished stainless steel race maintains low friction performance. The ball bearings also function as a thrust bearing, preventing the sheave from rubbing against the cheeks, which is particularly important for cheek blocks.

The block's cheeks are made from high-quality alloy for maximum strength, with a design that minimizes weight and allows for easy rinsing of salt and debris. The block also features a universal head with full 3-axis articulation, and the head posts can be locked at 0 or 90 degrees using a 2.5mm hex key. The central hub can serve as a becket take-off or tie-up point for lines up to 11.5mm.
