Description

The Ronstan Series 60 Core Block™ is a versatile solution for a wide range of applications. It features a tuned 2-stage bearing system that provides excellent performance across the full working load range, with an integrated thrust bearing feature and the resilience to handle high dynamic or static loads. The block is equipped with an Acetal sheave, alloy cheeks, and stainless steel fixings, ensuring durability. This block is ideal for sheets, halyards, and control line applications in both cruising and racing scenarios. The Universal Bearing system incorporates a proven 2-stage bearing system: Stage 1 uses Acetal ball bearings for minimal friction under moderate loads, while Stage 2 employs a sliding Acetal bearing on a polished stainless steel race for low friction under heavy loads. The ball bearings also function as a thrust bearing, preventing friction between the sheave and cheeks. The alloy cheek plates are designed for maximum strength and easy maintenance, with a cut-away design for weight reduction and easy rinsing. The block also features a removable 8mm threaded pin at the head and an Acetal roller for spliced line attachment. Additionally, the central hub hole can be used as a becket take-off or tie-up point. An alloy rope/wire sheave version is also available.
