Description

The Ronstan Series 60 Stand-Up Core Block™ is a versatile solution designed for both cruising and racing applications. It features a tuned 2-stage bearing system that ensures excellent performance across the full working load range. The integrated thrust bearing feature provides resilience to handle high dynamic or static loads. The block is constructed with an Acetal sheave, alloy cheeks, and stainless steel fixings, ensuring durability and reliability for sheets, halyards, and control line applications.

The Universal Bearing system incorporates a proven 2-stage bearing mechanism. In Stage 1, Acetal ball bearings minimize friction under moderate loads. In Stage 2, a sliding Acetal bearing on a polished stainless steel race maintains low friction performance under heavy loads. The ball bearings also function as a thrust bearing, preventing the sheave from rubbing against the cheeks.

The block's cheeks are made from high-quality alloy for maximum strength, with a design that minimizes weight and allows easy rinsing of salt and debris. The swiveling head post provides full 3-axis articulation, and a strong precision cast padeye base adds to its robustness. A resilient rubber stand-up boot prevents clatter and keeps the block upright when not loaded. The central hub hole can be used as a becket take-off or tie-up point.
