Description

The Ronstan Series 60 Core Block™ is a versatile solution for various sailing applications. It features a 2-stage bearing system that ensures excellent performance across the full working load range. The block is designed to handle both dynamic and static loads effectively, thanks to its integrated thrust bearing feature. The durable construction includes an Acetal sheave, alloy cheeks, and stainless fixings, making it ideal for sheets, halyards, and control line applications in both cruising and racing scenarios.

The Universal Bearing system incorporates a proven 2-stage bearing mechanism. Under moderate loads, Acetal ball bearings minimize friction, while under heavy loads, a sliding Acetal bearing on a polished stainless steel race maintains low friction performance. This configuration also acts as a thrust bearing, preventing the sheave from rubbing on the cheeks, which is crucial for cheek blocks.

The block's cheeks are made from high-quality alloy, providing maximum strength and a lightweight design. The cut-away design allows for easy rinsing of salt and debris, ensuring longevity. The block features scalloped cheeks for line lead variations and requires only two fastener holes, minimizing deck sealing concerns. It mounts with 2 x 8mm fasteners (not supplied) with a hole spacing of 53.5mm.

This block is ideal for mainsheet, halyard, and spinnaker sheet applications on boats up to 11m (36ft) and various control line applications on larger yachts. Alloy sheave models are available for use with wire.
