Description

The Ronstan Series 60 Core Block™ is a versatile solution for various sailing applications. It features a tuned 2-stage bearing system that ensures excellent performance across the full working load range. The block is equipped with an integrated thrust bearing and is designed to handle both high dynamic and static loads. The durable construction includes an Acetal sheave, alloy cheeks, and stainless steel fixings, making it ideal for sheets, halyards, and control line applications in both cruising and racing.

The Universal Bearing system incorporates a proven 2-stage bearing design. Under moderate loads, Acetal ball bearings minimize friction, while under heavy loads, a sliding Acetal bearing on a polished stainless steel race maintains low friction. This configuration also acts as a thrust bearing, preventing the sheave from rubbing against the cheeks.

The block's alloy cheek plates are crafted from high-quality alloy for maximum strength, with a design that minimizes weight and allows for easy rinsing of salt and debris. The versatile trunnion snap shackle allows for 360-degree rotation and side-to-side articulation, with an integrated becket through the hub of the lower sheave supporting a maximum line diameter of 11.5mm.

This block is ideal for mainsheet, halyard, and spinnaker sheet applications on boats up to 11m (36ft) and various control line applications on larger yachts. It is also suitable for creating simple vang and mainsheet systems up to 4:1 on boats up to 12m (40ft).
