Description

The Ronstan Series 60 Core Block™ is a versatile solution for various sailing applications. It features a tuned 2-stage bearing system that ensures excellent performance across the full working load range. This system includes an integrated thrust bearing feature, providing resilience to handle both high dynamic and static loads. The block is constructed with an Acetal sheave, alloy cheeks, and stainless steel fixings, ensuring durability and long service life.

The Universal Bearing system incorporates a proven 2-stage bearing mechanism. Under moderate loads, Acetal ball bearings minimize friction. Under heavy loads, a sliding Acetal bearing on a polished stainless steel race maintains low friction performance. The ball bearings also act as a thrust bearing, preventing the sheave from rubbing against the cheeks, which is crucial for cheek blocks.

The block features alloy cheek plates made from high-quality alloy for maximum strength. The design minimizes weight and allows easy rinsing of salt and debris. The block also includes a high-performance C-Cleat™ with an adjustable cleating angle and fairlead for secure and easy cleating. An integrated becket through the hub of the lower sheave accommodates a maximum line diameter of 11.5mm.

This block is ideal for mainsheet, halyard, and spinnaker sheet applications on boats up to 11m (36ft) and various control line applications on larger yachts. Alloy sheave models are available for use with wire.
